Usaban correos humanos: Fiscalía obtuvo condena de 7 personas que integraban organización que traficaba droga en Copiapó

*Modus Operandi de los imputados implicaba ocupar mujeres bolivianas que traían droga en sus cuerpos hasta la capital regional, ciudad en que ésta era reunida y dosificada para su venta.

La Fiscalía de Atacama, luego de un sólido trabajo de investigación de un delito de tráfico de droga en Copiapó, obtuvo un veredicto condenatorio en contra de 7 personas quienes conformaban una agrupación criminal destinada al transporte y dosificación de pasta base para su posterior distribución y venta en la capital regional.

La dirección de esta indagatoria estuvo a cargo del fiscal adjunto Leonel Ibacache Véliz, quien a partir de los medios de prueba reunidos en la investigación, consiguió acreditar el delito y la distinta participación de los imputados. Todos ellos, liderados por un sujeto con residencia en esta comuna.

De acuerdo a los hechos contenidos en la acusación del caso, en el mes de junio del año 2019, a partir de diligencias llevadas a cabo junto a la Brigada Antinarcóticos de la PDI, se procedió a realizar un operativo destinado a acabar con la acción delictual de estas personas. Se trató de una causa en que los líderes de esta agrupación, un hombre de nacionalidad chilena, identificado como Patricio Rain Godoy, y una mujer boliviana, Juana Ramírez Mairiana, coordinaban el traslado de mujeres desde Bolivia quienes transportaban droga en el interior de sus cuerpos, luego de lo cual las mantenían en un domicilio con la finalidad de evacuar los ovoides. Incluso, al momento de la entrada y registro a este inmueble por parte de personal policial se detuvo a cinco mujeres que habían llegado al país y estaban en proceso de evacuar la droga.

Los hechos fueron indagados y los antecedentes fueron argumentados en audiencia de Juicio Oral por el fiscal Ibacache Véliz, instancia judicial en que la Fiscalía presentó distintas pruebas, entre ellas peritajes a la droga que indicaron que ésta era de alta pureza y que arrojó un peso superior a los 5 kilos. Junto con ello, personal policial descubrió en el lugar pesas digitales, bidones con ácido muriático, bicarbonato de sodio y otros precursores y sustancias químicas destinadas a la preparación y abultamiento de la droga.
