Cuba dijo esta semana que el uso de dos medicamentos producidos por su industria biotecnológica en pacientes con coronavirus para disminuir la hiperinflamación, ha reducido drásticamente su número de muertes relacionadas con el virus.

Autoridades de la salud sostienen que los tratamientos experimentales han ayudado a Cuba a lograr una tasa de mortalidad general más baja por covid-19, la enfermedad respiratoria que causa el nuevo coronavirus, llegando a 4,2 por ciento comparado con los promedios de la región y el global, de 5,9 y 6,6 por ciento, respectivamente.
