Valor de la canasta básica anota en abril su mayor alza anual desde 2013
*Dicha canasta alcanzó un valor de $55.346 por persona y el 78% de los alimentos que la conforman anotaron alzas en el cuarto mes del año.
La inflación sigue golpeando duro a las familias, con una canasta básica de alimentos que no para de subir y cuya alza alcanza niveles no vistos en casi 10 años.
De acuerdo con los datos a abril de 2022 de la Subsecretaria de Evaluación Social, la canasta básica alcanzó un valor mensual de $55.346 por persona, lo que representan una variación mensual de 2,3% (menor a la observada en marzo de 4,2%), mientras que la escalada acumulada en los últimos doce meses llego a 15,3%, situándose como la variación anual más alta en la serie completa desde diciembre de 2013.
Durante abril, 62 de los productos que componen la canasta básica de alimentos anotaron alzas en sus precios, lo que equivale al 78% de estos productos. En promedio, la subida fue de un 3,1% y fluctuaron entre 24,7% y 0%. En el caso de los productos que disminuyeron su valor (14), lo hicieron en un 1,8% en medio y fluctuaron entre -6,7% y 0%. Las principales alzas del cuarto mes del año, según el informe de Evaluación Social, se presentaron en el caso del aceite, tomate, harina y huevo, alcanzado una variación mensual de 24,7%, 18,7%, 10,5% y 10,3%, respectivamente. En tanto, las mayores disminuciones las registró la zanahoria y la manzana, con caída de 4,1% y 6,7%, respectivamente.
La canasta básica de alimentos considera un umbral de requerimientos de 2.000 calorías diarias promedio por persona, en las zonas urbana y rural y fue realizada sobre la base de la información proporcionada por la VII Encuesta de Presupuestos Familiares, levantada por el Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas (INE) entre diciembre de 2011 y diciembre de 2012. Su valor fue determinado a partir del gasto de aquel grupo de hogares (estrato de referencia) correspondiente al quintil de menores ingresos per cápita que, dado su patrón de gastos en alimentos, satisface en promedio los requerimientos calóricos recomendados por persona al día.
