Ucrania celebró su Día de la Independencia de la Unión Soviética a 6 meses del inicio de la guerra

El presidente Volodimir Zelenski, en un discurso grabado, dijo que Ucrania “ha resurgido con fuerza tras la invasión rusa” y aventuró cómo acabará la guerra: “solíamos decir ‘paz’, ahora decimos: ‘victoria”, afirmó.

Ucrania conmemoró este miércoles los 31 años de su independencia de la Unión Soviética con temor a “bombardeos brutales” de Rusia al cumplirse seis meses de invasión, fecha que Estados Unidos aprovechó para anunciar su mayor ayuda militar a Kiev hasta la fecha.

Después de seis meses de guerra que han causado miles de muertos, millones de desplazados y vasta destrucción, “celebrar” no es la palabra idónea para este Día de la Independencia en Ucrania.

El martes, el propio Zelenski advertía sobre posibles ofensivas rusas el miércoles y prometía una “respuesta contundente”.

“Debemos ser conscientes de que mañana (ayer) es posible que haya provocaciones rusas repugnantes y bombardeos brutales”, dijo el martes en su tradicional mensaje nocturno.

En las primeras horas de la fiesta nacional, ciudades como Járkov (noreste) o Zaporiyia y Dnipró (centro) se vieron sacudidas por fuertes explosiones, indicaron las autoridades locales.
