Temor por nueva variante de Covid-19 provoca que dólar se dispare en Chile y borra toda la caída post elecciones
La aparición de la nueva variante de covid-19 en Sudáfrica está generando pánico en los mercados, y el dólar a nivel local sintió el golpe, disparándose $10 y borrando toda la caída anotada luego de las elecciones presidenciales y parlamentarias del domingo.
El billete verde culminó la sesión escalando $10,20 y terminó en puntas de $831,60 vendedor y $831,30 comprador. Con esto, cerró registrando un alza semanal de $2,8, pese al desplome de $17 apuntado el lunes tras los comicios.
Analistas señalan que el panorama genera incertidumbre frente un nuevo brote agresivo de Covid, que puede acarrear confinamientos y cierre de países, por lo que es esperable que los mercados con mayor riesgo y de renta variable se vean debilitados, ya que los inversionistas buscan refugio en instrumentos menos volátiles.
