Sorteo de las Clasificatorias sudamericanas a Qatar 2022 cambió de fecha
Pese a que varias federaciones tuvieron la intención de repetir el calendario de las últimas Clasificatorias, desde la ANFP informaron a Al Aire Libre en Cooperativa que el sorteo del fixture de la ruta al Mundial de Qatar 2022 se efectuará el 17 de diciembre.
La intención de la Conmebol era dejar definida la agenda de las Clasificatorias junto con el sorteo que se realizará el próximo 3 de diciembre en Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, para la Copa América 2020 que organizará el país «cafetero» junto a Argentina.
Sin embargo, pese a la intención de algunas federaciones de mantener el fixture, desde la Conmebol decidieron que el sorteo de las Clasificatorias se concrete y se efectúe dos semanas después en Paraguay junto al de la Copa Libertadores de América.
Las Clasificatorias a Qatar 2022 comenzarán a disputarse en el mes de marzo de 2020 y se extenderán hasta noviembre de 2021.
