Siete muertos y 13 desaparecidos por naufragio de patera que iba a España
Al menos siete emigrantes subsaharianos murieron este lunes, 13 siguen desaparecidos y otros 40 fueron arrestados por las autoridades marroquíes, tras el naufragio de una patera que estaba en aguas de la localidad suroccidental de Tarfaya cuando se dirigía a Canarias.
Los cuerpos sin vida de los náufragos, entre los que hay cinco mujeres, fueron arrastrados por las olas a una playa que pertenece a la provincia atlántica de Tarfaya; en tanto los emigrantes arrestados, entre ellos doce mujeres, quedaron en aislamiento médico, a la espera de que las autoridades sanitarias les sometan al test de coronavirus.
Las Fuentes de las autoridades locales dijeron que la alerta inicial del naufragio fue emitida por la ONG española Caminando Fronteras tras recibir varias llamadas telefónicas de los ocupantes de la patera.
