Senadora Yasna Provoste responde a cuestionamientos sobre su gestión
La senadora Yasna Provoste, salió al paso de diversas declaraciones que se han expresado recientemente criticando su gestión en diversas instancias.
Así, la parlamentaria se refirió a tres temas específicos, en primer lugar, sobre lo dicho por el Presidente Regional de RN Fernando Ghiglino, lo expresado por la ex primera dama Marta Larraechea, y respecto del proyecto de ley de reconocimiento del pueblo Huilliche.
PASCUA LAMA
Respecto de lo expresado por el Consejero Regional Fernando Ghiglino de RN, respecto del apoyo que la senadora habría otorgado en el pasado al ahora clausurado proyecto, la senadora por Atacama indicó que “se trata de un emplazamiento sobre la base de una nota aparecida en un medio digital, en que se cuestiona mi supuesto cambio de opinión, desde una favorable a una desfavorable, sobre el proyecto Pascua Lama. En efecto, el anuncio de dicho proyecto –hace veinte años- fue visto como una oportunidad para solucionar los fuertes problemas de empleo en la zona y se establecieron exigencias ambientales que la empresa NO cumplió. A partir de ese momento y no de ahora, no dudé junto a muchas y muchos en manifestar nuestra oposición a la iniciativa, cuestión que consta en múltiples intervenciones y en diversas instancias”.
Para mayor abundamiento, complementa la legisladora, puede remitirse a su intervención pronunciada a propósito de la comisión investigadora por Pascua Lama en abril del año 2014, habiendo asumido recientemente como diputada, en la que solicitó revocar la Resolución de Calificación Ambiental (RCA); colocar fin al tratado minero con Argentina; y la revocación del área de protocolo.
“Si alguien considera que lo anterior significa un cambio de opinión o un error, está en su derecho a creerlo así. Por mi parte, lo considero un actuar correcto, por cierto contrario a aquellos que creen que las inversiones y las utilidades están por sobre las personas y los costos sociales y medioambientales, que no es mi caso”, expresa la parlamentaria.
DEMOCRACIA CRISTIANA
Sobre las opiniones de la ex primera dama, Marta Larraechea, manifestadas vía twitter el pasado 14 de septiembre y a propósito de una entrevista del diario La Tercera a la senadora Yasna Provoste, donde se hablaba de primarias conjuntas de la DC y el PC, lo que provocó que Larraechea dijera en Twitter: «Creo que Yasna está equivocada de partido, que renuncie y se vaya al PC». Al respecto la parlamentaria reiteró que “la política de alianzas de la Democracia Cristiana y la oposición es un tema debatible, de suma importancia para el país, que debe darse de manera seria y profunda, y no de manera superficial ni en base a caricaturas. Por mi parte, promuevo y promoveré la más amplia unidad política y social de la centro izquierda. Agradezco todas las muestras de apoyo que he recibido tras el desafortunado comentario de la esposa de un ex presidente”, dijo la parlamentaria.
PUEBLO HUILLICHE
Finalmente, respecto al proyecto de ley de reconocimiento del pueblo Huilliche -presentado por la Senadora Ximena Órdenes, entre otros- Provoste señaló: “He respaldado siempre y soy parte de las causas de reconocimiento de los pueblos indígenas. Lo hice para el reconocimiento del pueblo Diaguita y fui parte activa junto a otros tantos y tantas para el reconocimiento del pueblo Chango”.
Por lo mismo, continuó la congresista DC, “cuando la senadora Ximena Órdenes de Aysén nos pidió respaldar el proyecto que establece el reconocimiento del pueblo Huilliche, suscribimos la moción. Sin embargo, tras escuchar a diferentes líderes de comunidades mapuche decidí retirar mi firma de la moción, lo que fue informado a la secretaría del Senado el 27 de julio pasado”.
“Como Senadora y habiendo ejercido diversos cargos públicos, estoy siempre disponible a la crítica y al debate público honesto, centrado en el bien común, con ideas puestas en las personas y en las legítimas convicciones de cada cual”, concluyó.
