SAMU ha recibido más de 3.500 llamados desde el pasado 18 de octubre

Demostrando una gran capacidad de respuesta y una atención oportuna en beneficio de nuestra comunidad, los profesionales del SAMU (Servicio de Atención Médica de Urgencia) de Atacama ha recibido 3535 llamados al nivel 131 desde el pasado 18 de octubre, fecha en que comenzaron las movilizaciones.

En este sentido el Director (S) del Servicio de Salud de Atacama Claudio Baeza, resaltó la entrega y vocación de los funcionarios del SAMU y de toda la Red Asistencial de la región “quisiera destacar y agradecer a los equipos del SAMU de nuestra región y a todos los funcionarios de la Red Asistencial que han entregado la mayor la disposición para realizar su trabajo, extendiendo sus turnos y teniendo una gran flexibilidad en beneficio de la comunidad. Tenemos un excelente equipo humano de trabajo y por lo mismo debemos cuidarlo y seguir trabajando juntos en beneficio de la atención y salud de nuestros usuarios”.

Del total de llamados recibidos por SAMU, 943 requerimientos finalizaron en una atención efectiva de urgencia. Es en este sentido que el Jefe de la Red Asistencial reitera el llamado a brindar un correcto uso del teléfono 131 del SAMU “Queremos invitar a la comunidad a no efectuar llamadas con emergencias falsas ya que ello implica desplazar una ambulancia con un equipo de profesionales a una situación que no es real. Lo que podría significar que en ese mismo minuto una persona efectivamente tenga una emergencia vital y que necesite de la asistencia del SAMU. Por ello, reiteramos el llamado para que el número 131 sea utilizado con responsabilidad”, señaló el Director (s) Claudio Baeza.

Cabe destacar que el SAMU atiende las llamadas a través de un Centro Regulador a nivel regional. Es decir, recibe llamadas de las nueve comunas de Atacama lo que permite obtener una visión regional de las emergencias y así derivar oportunamente los equipos clínicos para una rápida y oportuna atención. Así mismo se recomienda llamar al 131 cuando se presenten algunos de los siguientes casos: intenso dolor en el pecho, accidentes de tránsito, quemaduras graves, caída de alturas, atoramiento por cuerpo extraño, golpes violentos en la cabeza, convulsión, herida por fuego o cortante, intento de suicidio, ahogo en playa, piscina, entre otros.

De esta manera el Servicio de Salud Atacama reitera los reconocimientos a todo el personal de SAMU y funcionarios de la Red Asistencial por su vocación y compromiso en beneficio de la atención y salud de las usuarias y usuarios de Atacama.
