Récord de exámenes registró positividad de 6,75 % en última jornada

118 laboratorios del país procesaron 30.882 muestras que lograron confirmar el contagio de 1.383 personas con sintomatología reportada, 634 sin síntomas y 57 fallecidos.

Un nuevo récord de testeo se registró este sábado en la noche cuando 118 laboratorios del país procesaron 30.882 muestras, cuya positividad alcanzó 6,75 %; una de las más bajas de los últimos días. La cantidad de personas confirmadas con esta jornada fue de 1.383 con síntomas y 634 asintomáticas, además de las 57 que habían fallecido en los días previos.

“Hemos pasado una cifra gigantesca que nos hace tener una cantidad de exámenes por millón de habitantes que es la más alta de Latinoamérica y está entre países europeos: Nueva Zelandia, Alemania y Suecia”, dijo el ministro Enrique Paris, en el balance nacional sobre la situación de la pandemia en el país.

En tanto la subsecretaria de Salud Pública, Paula Daza, destacó que esta cifra de exámenes es la “más alta que hemos registrado en todo este semestre”, lo que “da cuenta del trabajo [que se hace] desde la atención primaria, seremis y servicios de salud”.

Este es el resultado del reforzamiento que el Ministerio de Salud (Minsal) ha hecho a la estrategia de Búsqueda Activa de Casos (Casos) y contactos estrechos; sin embargo, el secretario de estado admitió que hay preocupación por la trazabilidad y reconoció las críticas que se han hecho al respecto.

Con la detección de estos nuevos contagiados, además de la suma de 69 personas que ya tenían su diagnóstico, pero no habían sido informados al Ministerio de Salud (Minsal), el total de la última ronda de pesquisa fue de 2.086, lo que eleva el total de individuos que han tenido o tienen el virus a 385.946, de los cuales 358.828 se han recuperado y 10.452 han muerto.

Daza informó que 16.666 casos siguen activos y que de ellos 4.843 están internados en la Red Integrada de Covid, siendo 1.190 los que ocupan una cama en las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI). De este último grupo 879 están conectados a ventilación mecánica y 185 son los más críticos.
