Provoste propone crear un Ministerio de Seguridad, nuevas policías y pone énfasis en combatir el narcotráfico
La candidata presidencial de la Democracia Cristiana, Yasna Provoste, entregó hoy los detalles de su programa en materia de seguridad, prometiendo la creación de un nuevo ministerio especialmente dedicado al área, nuevas policías y medidas enfocada en el combate al narcotráfico.
En ese sentido Provoste detalló que «implementaremos un plan de desarme e intervención de zonas críticas, vamos a establecer un nuevo control público de todo tipo de armas, radicaremos esta función en el nuevo Ministerio de Seguridad Pública que crearemos en nuestro Gobierno. Vamos a aumentar las exigencias para que los civiles adquieran armas y municiones y vamos a reducir la facultad de portar armas a los funcionarios en retiro de las Fuerzas Armadas y de Orden». Al mismo tiempo en materia de armas anunció que de llegar a La Moneda exigirá la reinscripción anual de armas con un examen a quienes quieran tenerlas. Por otro lado, propuso una «fuerza de tarea para reducir la violencia y el maltrato» y una «nueva estrategia de resolución de conflictos y convivencia».
