Policía de Brasil allana residencias de gobernador de Río de Janeiro
La policía federal de Brasil allanó el martes las residencias del gobernador de Río de Janeiro, Wilson Witzel, como parte de una investigación sobre corrupción en la respuesta al covid-19, concentrándose en uno de los rivales políticos del presidente Jair Bolsonaro mientras la pandemia azota al país.
Dos fuentes y un comunicado de la policía dijeron que las órdenes de registro eran parte de una pesquisa sobre presunta corrupción que involucra el uso de dinero público destinado a la lucha contra el coronavirus en el estado de Río de Janeiro. No se emitieron órdenes de arresto, afirmó una fuente. En un comunicado, Witzel se declaró inocente y acusó a Bolsonaro de “interferir” en la investigación.
