Poeta Cristian Muñoz presentó su nuevo libro sobre Ignacio Domeyko

(Por Frenny Kelly Granado). Cristian Muñoz presentó su nuevo libro: Ignacio Domeyko en la cultura de Atacama, el cual escribió durante el último año tras adjudicarse los premios del Fondo Nacional del Desarrollo Cultural y las Artes (Fondart) de 2019.
La conferencia en la que expuso los detalles de su nueva obra se realizó ayer, martes, en el salón Oriel Álvarez de la Biblioteca Pública Regional; con éste son siete los libros que ha publicado de una investigación que ha desarrollado por más de 15 años.
El profesor y poeta de oficio reveló las motivaciones que lo hicieron plasmar los aportes que el polaco Domeyko hizo en la región y vestigios que quedaron tras su paso por la naturaleza, la mineralogía, la geología, entre otras ciencias.
Muñoz ya había mencionado a Domeyko en otras de sus investigaciones de naturalistas en Atacama en los que consideró los trabajos de Claudio Gay, Amadeo Pissis y Rodolfo Phillippi, pero esta vez decidió dedicarle un libro entero a él.
La obra consta de varios capítulos con diferentes crónicas poéticas que inician con la narración de la historia de una ciudadana bielorrusa que vive en Atacama y termina con la del museo minero de Tierra Amarilla, donde hoy en día hay un salón completo en honor al investigador naturalista.
Sobre la utilización del género literario constituido por composiciones, lo cual fue apreciado por la mayoría de los presentes, dijo que “la poesía no se distancia de la historia”, y además éste es el “lenguaje con el que están escritos los relatos de los naturalistas para poder describir este entorno, las taxonomías, animales, las cordilleras y mares”.
Para Muñoz Dpmeyko fue un personaje que cumple con todas las características “del héroe de una novela épica”, desde donde parte hasta donde termina su vida en Chile; “para mí es un personaje que va más allá de la ciencia, incluso”.
