Piñera: Santiago será sede de las cumbres de Alianza del Pacífico y de Prosur en diciembre
El Presidente Sebastián Piñera confirmó que las cumbres de la Alianza del Pacífico y Prosur se realizarán en Santiago durante el mes de diciembre; dicho acto servirá para que Chile traspase la Presidencia Pro Tempore a Colombia, ya que hasta ahora sigue al mando de ambas.
“En diciembre tendremos en Chile las cumbres de la Alianza del Pacífico y de Prosur, y corresponderá a nuestro país entregar el mando, la Presidencia Pro Tempore, al Presidente Iván Duque y a Colombia”, señaló el Mandatario.
El encuentro entre ambos Mandatarios fue el domingo en el Palacio de Cerro Castillo de Viña del Mar; la agenda incluyó los esfuerzos regionales frente a la pandemia del coronavirus; además, la profundización de la integración y colaboración en Prosur y la Alianza del Pacífico.
Al respecto Dique destacó lo que para él es el importante avance en políticas medioambientales, elogiando a Chile por la protección de los océanos. Los dos presidentes están enfocados en el cuidado medioambiental y otras materias.
“Nos hemos concentrado en los aspectos centrales: la colaboración que hemos logrado en el contexto de Prosur y en forma directa con Colombia para enfrentar la pandemia de coronavirus. La alianza en materia de fronteras seguras y migración. y el trabajo conjunto en términos de la recuperación del empleo y nuestras economías. Ese ha sido una muestra de ese espíritu, y que es el espíritu de Prosur”, dijo Piñera.
