Pablo Milad vence a Lorenzo Antillo y es el nuevo presidente de la ANFP
El ex intendente de la Región del Maule se impuso al timonel de Audax en la primera elección virtual del organismo.
Pablo Milad es el nuevo presidente de la ANFP. Tal como se preveía, ganó este jueves la primera elección virtual en la historia del organismo rector del fútbol chileno, venciendo a Lorenzo Antillo, timonel de Audax Italiano, por 25 contra 23 votos.
El pasado 5 de junio, tras haber renunciado a su cargo como intendente de la Región del Maule para concentrarse de lleno en su postulación al máximo sillón de Quilín, el curicano dio el gran golpe, luego de que se diera a conocer una carta firmada por 16 clubes asegurándole su apoyo. Y pese a las gestiones de última hora de su rival, el compromiso tuvo efecto.
El ex mandamás de Curicó Unido llegó a 25 sufragios (los de la Primera División valen doble, menos Santiago Wanderers y La Serena), suficientes para imponerse, dado el universo total de 49 preferencias. Deportes Temuco sería el que se abstuvo.
Así, la ex autoridad regional reemplazará en el puesto a Sebastián Moreno, quien no alcanzó a completar su mandato. Por ello, Milad presidirá el balompié criollo hasta el 2022.
