OMS crea comisión para revisar su actuación en la lucha contra la pandemia
El director general de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, anunció este jueves la creación de una comisión independiente para revisar la actuación del organismo en la actual pandemia, dos días después de que EEUU notificara su salida de éste en un año por lo que considera presunta mala praxis.
La comisión estará presidida por la exprimera ministra de Nueva Zelanda Helen Clark y la expresidenta de Liberia y premio Nobel de la Paz Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. “Es el momento de reflexionar sobre lo que hemos hecho y buscar nuevas formas de colaborar”, indicó Tedros, quien propuso una reunión del Comité Ejecutivo de la OMS en el mes de septiembre para analizar los primeros progresos del panel.
