Nuevo jefe de selecciones: La meta para La Roja: clasificar al mundial de Qatar
El nuevo jefe de selecciones chilenas, Francis Cagigao, profundizó sobre el rol que tendrá en La Roja y sostuvo que sus planes, a corto y mediano plazo, son que nuestro país clasifique al Mundial de Qatar y poner los cimientos para que el equipo nacional vuelva a ser competitivo.
«Hay que establecer criterios uniformes, una base de trabajo para las selecciones y el fútbol chileno. En el corto plazo, la meta es clasificar al mundial de Qatar y que Chile sea competitivo. Voy a asesorar y apoyar al seleccionador», comentó Cagigao a El Mercurio.
También apuntó que hay otros objetivos, relacionados con «la formación, con la identificación, con los criterios para el desarrollo del futbolista y de las generaciones jóvenes».
