La historia de vida del candidato independiente para las Primarias de Alcalde en Copiapó, Luis Núñez Barrientos

Cuando comienza la cuenta regresiva para las Elecciones Primarias de Alcalde por la comuna de Copiapó, surgen rostros nuevos y con una historia de vida que resulta digna para que usted la conozca.

En nuestro ciclo de entrevistas para presentarles a los distintos candidatos al sillón alcaldicio de la capital de la Región de Atacama hoy es el turno del joven profesional copiapino, Luis Núñez Barrientos, quien postula a las Primarias de Alcalde en calidad de independiente el próximo 29 de noviembre del 2020.

Usted nos ha señalado que cuando niño vivía de allegado en casa de una familia donde su madre trabajó como asesora del hogar, también pasaba los periodos de vacaciones de su infancia al interior de una mina. Al mismo tiempo nos explica por qué «tener calle» es un valor diferenciador en la competencia electoral que se avecina. «Es mi gran ventaja, porque puedo hablar con conocimiento de causa».

Nos relata que es hijo de Juan Núñez y de Erika Barrientos, personas de tesón y esfuerzo, “estoy orgulloso de mis padres y de mi familia que me otorgó Dios y la vida”.

“En mis primeros años mi familia se vio enfrentada, con la enfermedad de mi madre – Tuberculosis – patología grave y de difícil control para la época, razón por lo cual, en mis vacaciones de invierno y verano, mi padre no tenía con quien dejarme al cuidado y me llevaba a la mina donde él trabajaba como pirquinero, en el sector de “Jesús María”. Todo esto me llevó a tener una infancia diferente a los niños de mi edad, lo cual me permitió a corta edad poder ver in situ el esfuerzo y abnegado trabajo del pirquinero atacameño”, señaló Núñez.

Más adelante, subraya diciendo que, “mis padres en el año 1987 vendieron nuestra casa que teníamos en la población Arturo Prat, en calle Carlos Condell, por malas decisiones y la mala situación económica de la época, nos quedamos sin hogar y tuvimos que vivir de allegado en casa de la familia “Tobar Cortés”, donde mi madre había trabajado como asesora de hogar, y precisamente por ese nexo de cercanía con la familia nos acogieron en su casa de la población Balmaceda Norte. Todos quienes hemos vivido de allegados, sabemos lo difícil que es estar en esta situación, tanto para los dueños de casa como para quienes están como allegados, no obstante, a esto solo me quedan palabras de agradecimientos para aquella familia que con generosidad compartieron su hogar con la mía. Esta experiencia de vida, me ha servido para tener la resiliencia de todas aquellas familias que anhelan y sueñan día a día con tener su casa propia”.

El candidato a las Primarias a Alcalde continúa su relato indicando que: “luego de un tiempo mi padre logró tener un trabajo estable en la Compañía Minera Unión Minas, por lo cual nos fuimos a arrendar una modesta casita en la calle Carampangue, de la misma población, para luego irnos a la casa propia en la población Villa Los Minerales”.

“En el transcurso de este tiempo realicé mis estudios en la escuela E Nº 21 actualmente Escuela Pedro León Gallo, establecimiento en el que me formé junto a mis compañeros de curso, bajo el alero de grandes profesores, la gran mayoría normalistas, luego mi enseñanza media cursé bajo la modalidad de técnico profesional en el liceo José Antonio Carvajal, donde hice grandes amigos que albergamos anécdotas y recuerdos de la adolescencia”.

P: Conocida su historia de vida, entonces como se define usted?.
R: “Me defino como un ciudadano común, idealista, un copiapino neto, nacido y criado en Copiapó y actualmente vivo en la población Ampliación Prat, que busca aportar a su tierra que lo vio nacer. Quienes me conocen saben que cada uno de los pequeños logros que he conseguido ha sido en base al esfuerzo y el mérito; en lo profesional, soy técnico industrial, egresado de la carrera de administración en recursos humanos, poseo un diplomado de diseño de políticas públicas, también un curso realizado por la Pontificia Universidad Católica sobre liderazgo y decisiones estratégicas. Pero, más allá de los logros académicos que son motivo de orgullo para mi persona y mi familia, quiero aportar desde el trabajo duro, con el overol puesto para que nuestra ciudad se encamine por el bienestar y el progreso.

P: ¿Qué lo motivó a participar en este gran desafío?.
R: “Ver nuevamente a los mismos personajes de siempre compitiendo y prometiendo las mismas cosas que todos sabemos que ya No cumplieron. Los invito que nos detengamos a pensar… llevamos casi un cuarto de siglo con dos alcaldes alternando en el municipio… ¿no será mucho, le pregunto a cada uno de ustedes?. Creo que llegó el momento de que los copiapinos tomemos el futuro en nuestras manos y empecemos a construir un Copiapó para todos”.

P: La ciudadanía en el último tiempo ha manifestado su deseo de cambios de liderazgos que vengan a refrescar con nuevas ideas y un nuevo estilo nuestra comuna y región para salir del letargo. ¿Comparte ese juicio?.
R: “Es muy fácil y cómodo situarse en la posición de la crítica, pero creo que, más allá de criticar las diferentes problemáticas presentes en nuestra comuna, debemos proponer las soluciones concretas y que se puedan realizar, porque la gente se cansó que le vendan humo y, elección tras elección, algunos reflotan las mismas promesas que ya no cumplieron”.

 P: ¿Cuáles serían los temas ejes de su gestión en caso de ganar la elección municipal?.
R: “Como dijo un ex candidato en una franja televisiva: Trabajo, trabajo y trabajo… Esa es una de las primeras prioridades y un municipio puede hacer mucho mediante alianzas público-privadas y también a través de la contratación de mano de obra local, en cada una de los proyectos que ejecute nuestro municipio.
MEJORAR LA CALIDAD DE VIDA EN LOS BARRIOS: cuando uno recorre algunos de nuestros barrios, pareciera que el tiempo se ha detenido y eso debemos cambiarlo creando obras de infraestructura en diferentes sectores de nuestra comuna… No puede ser que aún existan sectores o barrios de nuestra ciudad que ni siquiera tengan una multicancha, pensando que el deporte es un potente aliado para alejar a nuestros niños y jóvenes del flagelo de la droga, debemos mejorar la calidad de vida de nuestros vecinos con un sentido de urgencia.
EN SALUD: Todos quienes nos hemos atendido en un consultorio o cesfam sabemos muy bien que suceden principalmente dos cosas: Primero, hay que levantarse muy temprano en la madrugada para alcanzar los pocos números de atención y, lo segundo, la escasez de médicos para atender las diferentes enfermedades o patologías de niños, jóvenes, adultos y adultos mayores, y eso debemos cambiarlo.
EN SEGURIDAD: Crear una red integral preventiva del delito, debemos también impulsar una red de apoyo preventivo y de rehabilitación de consumo de drogas; quienes vivimos en barrios sabemos que la droga es el gran cáncer de nuestra sociedad.

EN INFRAESTRUCTURA Y ORDEN TERRITORIAL: El municipio cumple un rol fundamental para llevar a la ciudad por los caminos del orden y el progreso, se debe trabajar con fuerza en el tema de vivienda, ya que es un problema que ha ido creciendo exponencialmente, porque las autoridades de turno no han tenido la suficiente voluntad de trabajar para dar solución efectiva a tantos vecinos que anhelan no una casa sino construir un hogar para sus familias. También debemos proyectar nuestra ciudad con una mirada de futuro creando, por ejemplo, vías exclusivas para nuestra locomoción colectiva; reordenar nuestra ciudad debe ser prioridad y eso se consigue con voluntad y compromiso.
Como ven, son tantas las carencias que tenemos y estoy convencido que las podemos superar y solo lo lograremos con un cambio de liderazgo, cuyo enfoque sea trabajar con el overol puesto por nuestra comuna”.

P: ¿Cuál sería su mensaje final para los copiapinos?.
R: “Me presento ante ustedes con el orgullo y el honor, que para mí significa como copiapino poder optar a ser la persona elegida para representarlos. Mi candidatura independiente, alejada de todo vicio de corrupción y malas prácticas se levanta con la esperanza y la fe puesta de ser un alcalde para todos…porque Copiapó Somos Todos.
