La Copa Mundial 2022 de Qatar tendrá cuatro juegos por día en la etapa de grupos
En una resolución sin precedentes, el Mundial de Fútbol de la FIFA tendrá cuatro partidos por día durante la etapa de grupos en Qatar 2022, anunció el organismo rector del fútbol mundial.
Esta será la primera Copa Mundial que se celebrará en el Medio Oriente, los anfitriones abrirán el torneo de 32 equipos en el estadio Al Bayt con capacidad para 60.000 personas el lunes 21 de noviembre de 2022 a la 1pm hora local.
Los partidos durante las etapas grupales, que se llevarán a cabo desde el lunes 21 de noviembre de 2022 hasta el viernes 2 de diciembre de 2022, comenzarán a la 1 p.m., a las 4 p.m., a las 7 p.m. y a las 10 p.m. hora local.
“Con el fin de que todas las selecciones dispongan del tiempo suficiente para recuperarse, la fase de grupos tendrá una duración de doce días; se jugarán cuatro partidos al día, por lo que el calendario promete ser de lo más emocionante”, dijo la FIFA.
La final se jugará el domingo 18 de diciembre de 2022 en el Lusail Stadium, que tiene una capacidad para 80.000 personas, y el estadio Al Bayt será sede de una semifinal.
La FIFA ha dicho que “el estadio y el horario de los partidos de la fase de grupos de cada una de las jornadas se decidirán tras la celebración del sorteo final, previsto para después de los clasificatorios de marzo de 2022”.
