El Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas (INE) informó que la tasa de desocupación durante el trimestre móvil enero-marzo de 2022 llegó a un 7,8%.
La cifra significó un descenso de 2,6 puntos porcentuales (pp.) en 12 meses, lo cual se debería a que el alza de la fuerza de trabajo (5,0%) fue menor a la presentada por las personas ocupadas (8,0%).
El nuevo informe también reveló que las personas desocupadas disminuyeron 20,9%, incididas por quienes se encontraban cesantes (-23,1%) y por aquellas personas que buscan trabajo por primera vez (-0,2%).
La tasa de desocupación en las mujeres se situó en 8,7%, mientras que la de hombres fue de 7,2%, descendiendo en 12 meses 2,3 pp. y 2,7 pp., respectivamente. Por otra parte, la tasa de ocupación informal alcanzó 27,3%, creciendo 0,6 pp. en 12 meses. Las personas ocupadas informales aumentaron 10,3%, incididas tanto por los hombres (10,3%) como por las mujeres (10,4%) y por las personas trabajadoras por cuenta propia (11,4%).
