Incendio dejó sin hogar a dos copiapinos en el Rosario
(Por Frenny Kelly Granado). Un incendio registrado en el sector El Rosario de Copiapó dejó damnificadas a dos personas; de acuerdo con el reporte hecho la mañana de este martes por los voluntarios de Bomberos.
Según los datos recabados del hecho, el incidente se produjo en la calle Jaime Sierra Castillo por causas que aún son objeto de investigación. El fuego consumió la totalidad de la casa de una habitación de material ligero
Los testigos del hecho fueron quienes llamaron a las autoridades a través de los números de emergencia, por lo que los apagafuegos no tardaron en llegar al sitio para extinguir las llamas; sin embargo, para entonces, el fuego estructural ya estaba en fase de libre combustión.
Fue necesaria la activación de cuatro unidades de bomberos para impedir que el incendio se extendiera a otras residencias; entre las técnicas pidieron a la Compañía General de Electricidad (CGE) que cortara la energía eléctrica en el sector, para poder operar de manera segura.
Este corte afectó a un perímetro de 251 domicilios, de acuerdo con la información que obtuvo el equipo reporteril de Radio Nostálgica.
