Inaugurada la Exposición Dinosaurios en el Centro Cultural Atacama

En el Centro Cultural Atacama se encuentra a disposición de la comunidad, la Expo “Dinosaurios, más allá de la extinción”, la que fue inaugurada al mediodía de ayer, con la presencia de autoridades, las que invitaron a conocer sobre los primeros habitantes de la tierra.

Dicha actividad cultural contó con la presencia de la Alcaldesa (s), Eva Rojas; el Gobernador de Atacama, Miguel Vargas y el presidente de la Corporación Regional de Paleontología CIAHN ATACAMA, Pablo Quilodrán; además de miembros del Museo Nacional de Historia Natural (MNHN).

Pablo Quilodrán manifestó “esta es la exposición de dinosaurios más grande que se ha montado en Chile, por lejos. Son esqueletos, calcos de piezas traídas de distintos museos; pero por sobre todo del Museo de Historia Natural de Santiago; que en una versión incluso menor, fue capaz de llevar más de medio millón de personas en la capital del país. Es una tremenda plataforma, no solo para conocer los distintos dinosaurios de Sudamérica, sino que para hablar sobre el rico patrimonio paleontológico con el que contamos en Atacama, y que como Corporación de Atacama tiene la misión para transformar en un motor de desarrollo regional”.

Por su parte, la Alcaldesa subrogante señaló “estamos muy orgullosos, como Municipalidad de Copiapó de haber podido implementar dentro de nuestro recinto más importante que es el Centro Cultural esta muestra paleontológica, para todos los que les gusta, para los que tenemos alma de niños y los niños van a estar felices de conocer en vivo, in situ estas especies extinguidas hace millones de años de la tierra. Hoy lo podemos ver en Copiapó en esta presentación tan importante. Agradecemos a Compañía Minera del Pacífico, a las empresas que nos están apoyando en esto. Hacemos la invitación desde hoy y hasta el 21 de agosto para que vengan con los niños y en familia, un gran espectáculo cultural, que además nos va a enseñar y aprende rmás de estas especies extintas”.

En tanto que el representante de CMP, Rodrigo Mora indicó “la exposición de los dinosaurios es pàrte del crecimiento de la compañía. Hacer acto de presencia con este tipo de actividades es clave para nosotros; y esperamos que toda la comunidad de Copiapó venga. Ya estuvimos en Caldera, en Vallenar y es una actividad gratuita, abierta al público para aprovechar las vacaciones de invierno de los niños y espero que disfruten de la exposición”.

CMP realizó una millonaria inversión para que la exposición llegara a la zona, y sea parte del programa de vacaciones de invierno de los escolares.

Por su parte, el Gobernador Regional dijo “quiero agradecer a todos quienes hacen posible que un evento como este lo podamos tener acá en la región de Atacama, esta muestra de dinosaurios,. Es la cuarta muestra que exhibimos en Atacama. Estará hasta el 4 de septiembre, así es que aprovechemos esta gran oportunidad para enterarnos de lo que significó la presencia de estos animales gigantes, que habitaron el planeta hace más de 200 millones de años, y algunos en nuestra región”.

Destacó el compromiso de la instancia privada y coordinación con lo público, de poner a disposición de la comunidad la muestra cultural.
