Hospital de Temuco negó haber emitido protocolo para priorizar pacientes por crisis del coronavirus
Las autoridades del hospital Doctor Hernán Henríquez Aravena de Temuco desmintió estar discriminando a pacientes para priorizar a contagiados por coronavirus.
A través de una declaración pública, el principal centro asistencial de La Araucanía salió al paso de versiones de prensa, respecto a un protocolo para que pacientes con cáncer, insuficiencia cardiaca o VIH, no sean prioridad, ante la gran cantidad de hospitalizados en la UCI.
A través de una declaración pública, desde el hospital explicaron que “no ha emitido ningún protocolo que establezca algún criterio de priorización en desmedro de estos pacientes”.
Sin embargo, reconoció que existió efectivamente una circular, pero que fue “desautorizada por el director del recinto asistencial el mismo día en que fue emitida, por no ajustarse a los lineamientos de la institución”.
En ese sentido, se indicó que “se tomaron las medidas administrativas correspondientes”, evitando entregar mayores detalles al respecto.
“Siguiendo los lineamientos del Ministerio de Salud, el Hospital Regional Hernán Henríquez Aravena de Temuco trata a pacientes que cursen una infección por COVID-19 sin ningún tipo de discriminación”, sentenciaron.
Desde el hospital, además, agregaron que la disponibilidad de cupos de hospitalización es reportada diariamente al sistema de gestión centralizada de camas, instancia desde donde se efectúan las coordinaciones en todo el país para asegurar el acceso a la atención de las personas, sea en este recinto, u otro de la red pública o privada, para asegurar la atención, explicaron.
