Gobierno informa que iniciará obras de control aluvional definitivas para Paipote

Hasta el sector de Paipote, llegaron autoridades encabezadas por el Delegado Presidencial, Patricio Urquieta García, el Director Nacional de Obras Hidráulicas del MOP, Claudio Darrigrandi Navarro y el Seremi de Obras Públicas, Alfredo Campbell Aguilar junto al equipo Regional de la DOH, para informar que ya se encuentra aprobado el diseño definitivo de las obras del Primero de los 7 estudios iniciados por la DOH el año 2015.

El Proyecto cuenta con Resolución de Calificación Ambiental y la aprobación por parte del Ministerio de Desarrollo Social quienes ya entregaron la Recomendación Social (RS) para que este proyecto pase a la fase de construcción. El resto de los diseños corresponden a los Estudios en las Cuencas de El Salado, Copiapó, Tierra Amarilla, Paipote, Valle El Tránsito y Valle el Carmen en el Huasco.

En el lugar el Delegado Presidencial Patricio Urquieta informó, “hoy entregamos una muy buena noticia que va a beneficiar fundamentalmente a los vecinos de la localidad de Paipote y de la Comuna de Copiapó. Hoy vamos a comenzar con el trabajo del plan de intervención de la Quebrada Paipote que ha sido ya el destinatario de la recomendación técnica por parte del Ministerio de Desarrollo Social. Este es un plan de intervención que han esperado mucho los vecinos que ya cuenta con todas las aprobaciones administrativas por parte del Estado para comenzar a realizarse. Este es un proyecto que va a permitir construir el tranque al inicio de la intervención que se va a hacer en el sector El Chulo, vamos a permitir el desarrollo de los enrocados que corresponden a la quebrada misma, la ampliación de la caja que va a permitir reducir la velocidad de los flujos aluvionales y en definitiva construir mejores defensas fluviales para este sector que son obras que van a defender la vida de la gente y con un horizonte de trabajo que va a superar los 10 años y para nosotros lo más importante es comenzar a construirlo cuanto antes”.

Por otra parte, el Director Nacional de Obras Hidráulicas del MOP, Claudio Darrigrandi señaló, “este es el Primer Proyecto con RS que sacamos del Plan Atacama, el que contempla 7 proyectos y este primero es histórico, ya que el Plan Atacama es uno de los proyectos más significativos con $1.000 Millones de dólares la inversión global y luego de mucho trabajo hemos logrado partir con esto que nos va a permitir el proyecto integral, sin perjuicio de eso, lo que quiero destacar que desde el año 2016, después del aluvión en la región se han invertido $30 mil millones de pesos por tramos en distintas áreas. Con este proyecto que alcanza un inversión de $68.600 millones de pesos corresponde al proyecto global, en la intervención de estos 16 km y que son obras estructurales y que justamente lo que va a permitir es preparar a toda la zona de Paipote ante una crecida similar a la del año 2015”.

Cabe destacar que para este año 2021 y 2022, el Ministerio de Obras Públicas a través de la Dirección de Obras Hidráulicas, va a invertir alrededor de 10 mil millones de pesos para lo que es la primera parte de este proyecto de los cuales hay una etapa que corresponde a los $1.800 millones de pesos que vamos a dejar adjudicados el último trimestre de este año y eso implica partir con obras y que está asociado desde el puente mecano hasta la congruencia del Río Copiapó.
