(EXTRA)Encuentran cadáver en Ruta 5 Norte, fiscalía abre investigación

Fiscal jefe de Chañaral, Marco Arenas Zeballos, se constituyó en el kilómetro 1.032 al norte de esta comuna junto con personal de ambas policías.

La Fiscalía de Atacama abrió una investigación y comenzó a dirigir las diligencias, luego que la tarde de este lunes se informara del hallazgo de un cadáver a un costado de la ruta 5 al norte de Chañaral.

De acuerdo a los antecedentes entregados por el fiscal jefe de esta comuna, Marco Arenas Zeballos, una persona que circulaba por la mencionada ruta advirtió la presencia de un bulto al costado de la carretera, pudiendo comprobar que se trataba de un cuerpo sin vida de un hombre adulto. Informando de ellos a personal de Carabineros, quienes dieron cuenta al fiscal.

En el lugar del hallazgo se constituyó el fiscal Arenas, quien ordenó el trabajo de personal de la Bicrim de esta comuna, además de peritos de la Brigada de Homicidios de la PDI. Con quienes realizó una revisión superficial del cuerpo no advirtiendo lesiones atribuibles a terceras personas.

“En este caso al realizar la revisión de las pertenencias de la persona encontrada sin vida, se pudo encontrar su documentación además de las llaves de su vehículo que quedó estacionado aproximadamente 10 kilómetros al sur de donde estaba el cuerpo”, dijo el fiscal.

Arenas agregó que la persona fallecida presenta domicilio en Antofagasta y que había estado durante el fin de semana en Chañaral. Ordenando diligencias investigativas para establecer lo ocurrido, mientras que solicitó la autopsia de rigor para determinar la causas del fallecimiento.

Finalmente, los antecedentes de este hallazgo fueron enviados a la Unidad de Atención a Víctimas y Testigos de la Fiscalía Regional, quienes realizarán el trabajo de ubicación de la familia de la persona, a quienes informarán de los hechos y el día en que se realizará la entrega del cuerpo.
