En horas de la tarde, se confirmó, en medio de un complejo panorama, la renuncia del que fuera hasta hoy Delegado Presidencial de Atacama, Gerardo Tapia Tapia.
En un comunicado, la Delegación Presidencial Regional señaló:
“El Ministerio del Interior y Seguridad Pública informa que se ha aceptado la renuncia del Delegado Presidencial Regional de Atacama, don Gerardo Tapia Tapia, a contar de este jueves 20 de octubre de 2022. A partir del 21 de octubre asume la Delegación Presidencial Regional de Atacama, en calidad de subrogante, el sr. Jorge Fernández Herrera, actual Delegado Presidencial Provincial de Chañaral. El Gobierno de Chile agradece la labor desarrollada en estos meses por Gerardo Tapia Tapia.”
No se quiso ahondar en los motivos precisos de la renuncia al cierre de esta edición.
