Exitoso cierre de proyecto para mujeres de Vallenar, que une el yoga con plantas medicinales
“Cultivando salud: El ser y la tierra confluyen hacia el bienestar” es el nombre del proyecto que se desarrolló en la Junta de Vecinas y Vecinos Unión y Progreso Torreblanca, de la comuna de Vallenar y que busca incidir directamente en la salud de las mujeres de esta comunidad. El proyecto es financiado por la glosa Carácter Social del FNDR 2021 del Gobierno Regional de Atacama.
La práctica del Yoga y el cultivo de plantas medicinales, que no sólo promueven el cuidado del medio ambiente, sino además la salud de la comunidad, es la propuesta que se llevó a cabo para las mujeres que pertenezcan a la JJVV Unión y Progreso Torreblanca de la ciudad de Vallenar. Pero que fue abierto a cualquier otra interesada en hacerse parte de este proyecto que busca propiciar el bienestar común e individual, a través de la construcción de huertas comunitarias y acciones terapéuticas. Todo esto gracias a los aportes del Gobierno Regional de Atacama aprobados por el CORE. Fueron meses donde las mujeres interesadas pudieron sobrellevar esta propuesta que mezclaba la práctica física del yoga, con los conocimientos sobre cultivos de plantas y hierbas medicinales y que a fines de enero terminó su desarrollo.
Conversamos con diversas participantes acerca del proceso y sus testimonios nos aportan alentadoras reflexiones sobre este trabajo enfocado en la comunidad. Inelia Sepúlveda Martínez, una de las vecinas beneficiadas, nos relata que “la yoga para mí ha sido una experiencia muy bonita, ya que es primera vez que la practico. Me encantaron los ejercicios, la relajación y concentración; además con el cultivo de las plantas medicinales se complementó muy bien, ya que a una le hace bien para el alma y el corazón, tomando en consideración todo lo que nos está pasando por el COVID”.
“Yo fui diagnosticada de Artritis Reumatoide más Artrosis y el aprender yoga, manejar nuestra respiración, sentir nuestro cuerpo; es un aprendizaje para el resto de mi vida. Con ello me energizo, cambian mis emociones y acompañado del valor que tiene cada movimiento, mejora la salud de nuestro cuerpo. Complementar todo esto con el taller de hierbas medicinales y cultivo de plantas, entre ellas hortalizas varias, me dejan una lección de bienestar y de mantener el cuerpo y el espíritu conectado con la naturaleza, que hacen que cada día sea mejor”, nos cuenta Margarita Pizarro.
Y también agradece a los talleristas, Luis Contreras y Francisca Tornini, por “recibir tan generoso conocimiento que ustedes nos entregaron, ya que yo antes pensaba que el yoga no era para gente común como nosotras y que sólo lo podía practicar gente de la alta sociedad. Infinitas gracias para ustedes. El complemento que nos dieron a este grupo de mujeres de nuestra Junta de Vecinos, nos ha enriquecido enormemente nuestro diario vivir”. Otra beneficiaria, Karen Lemus Cortés, nos cuenta que “el proyecto de huerto y yoga que se efectuó en la JJVV Unión y Progreso, impartidos por el profe Luis y Francisca, fue buenísimo, educativo y relajante. Ojalá se pueda repetir para seguir aprendiendo, no sólo de plantas medicinales, si no de árboles frutales y de casa; y seguir estimulando nuestro cuerpo de forma serena. De mi parte, el yoga me ayudó bastante, ya que no puedo realizar ejercicios con impacto por un problema en mi pie, así que el yoga estuvo perfecto”.
Otra de las vecinas que participaron, Lorena Cruz Vera, señala que “para mi fue muy linda la experiencia, primero porque tuve el honor de conocer dos bellas personas. Una que nos enseñó yoga y que yo personalmente nunca había hecho y fue muy enriquecedora. Aprendí mucho. Y en cuanto a cultivo, lo más emocionante para mi fue el riego por goteo, cuando con mis compañeras lo hicimos y vimos cuando salió el agua, nos emocionamos mucho. Aprendí a cosechar y a cultivar”.
