Embarques de cobre experimentan caída del 7,8%

Un informe de la Subsecretaría de Relaciones Económicas Internacionales (SUBREI), con cifras del Banco Central, informó que los embarques de cobre sumaron US$27.708 millones en lo que va de año, experimentando una caída del 7,8% frente a los primeros siete meses del año 2021. 

Entre los meses de enero a julio de 2022, las exportaciones chilenas alcanzaron US$59.384 millones, con un crecimiento del 10,2% respecto al año anterior. Por su parte, las importaciones ascendieron a los US$ 61.240 millones, con un incremento del 27%, durante el mismo periodo de tiempo.

Según el reporte, el dinamismo de las exportaciones del país continúa sustentado en la oferta no cobre, que acumula embarques al exterior por más de US$31.676 millones, marcando un alza del 33% en comparación al año 2021.

Los envíos de productos diferentes al cobre justifican el 53,3% de las exportaciones de Chile. El litio se encuentra dentro de los productos que explican esta expansión, con US$ 3.874 millones, seguido por el salmón (US$ 824 millones), abonos (US$ 396 millones), óxido de molibdeno (US$ 260 millones), entre otros. 

 “Nuestro intercambio comercial con el mundo continua al alza contribuyendo a mejorar las perspectivas de inversión y creación de empleo. Es por eso que mantenemos una vigorosa agenda de negociaciones con mercados como India, Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Reino Unido, la Unión Europea y Corea del Sur entre otros”, señaló el subsecretario José Miguel Ahumada.
