Dólar operó con importante baja y vuelve a ubicarse en mínimos desde octubre del año pasado

*Analistas esperan que la divisa se mantenga en el camino de los descensos.

En mínimos de más de un año cotizó la mañana de ayer el dólar en el mercado cambiario local.

A las 08:32 horas del miércoles, la divisa estadounidense se movía en puntas de $719,06 vendedor y 718,71 comprador, tras registrar caída de $5,14.

Se trata de su menor nivel desde el inicio del estallido social de octubre del año pasado.

Ricardo Bustamante, jefe de estudios trading de Capitaria, comentó que «un escenario local más optimista en el corto plazo, debido a que el segundo retiro del 10% de los fondos de las AFP apoyaría una reactivación económica, especialmente en esta fecha navideña, debiera apoyar una mayor fortaleza del peso».

En el plano internacional, sostuvo que el acuerdo del Congreso de Estados Unidos por un nuevo paquete de estímulos generaría una mayor debilidad del dólar, a pesar de las amenazas de Trump de no firmarlo por considerar que el pago directo a las personas es insuficiente.

Adicionalmente, agregó que «la favorable proyección económica para el 2021 sigue apoyando avances en el precio del cobre, a pesar de cierta volatilidad en los últimos días, lo que seguiría presionando a la baja al dólar en nuestro país».

«Con todos los fundamentos señalados, el par de divisas perfectamente podría ir en busca de los $700 antes que termine el año o en los primeros días del 2021», concluyó. Francisco Román, analista de mercados de XTB Latam, señaló que «esperamos que el tipo de cambio fluctúe en torno a los $710 como soporte y los $728 como resistencia, ya que vemos una cotización del cobre en los 3,5 usd/lb, que retoma su tendencia alcista».
