Director SLEP Atacama Carlos Pérez Estay constató clases presenciales en provincias de Copiapó y de Chañaral

Profesores y asistentes de la educación en las aulas; niños, niñas, adolescentes y jóvenes en establecimientos; equipos directivos, padres y apoderados en escuelas, jardines, colegios y liceos, fue el panorama que percibió en terreno, el director ejecutivo del Servicio Local de Educación Pública (SLEP) Atacama, Carlos Pérez Estay, en las comunas de Chañaral, Diego de Almagro, Tierra Amarilla y Copiapó.

El pasado lunes, en una jornada especial y llena de emociones y orgullo para la comunidad escolar, la Escuela José Manso de Velasco de Copiapó inició el retorno presencial, gradual, voluntario y seguro, de sus clases.

En este marco, Pérez Estay, relevó la iniciativa y declaró que “volver a clases es un desafío, una responsabilidad y, por cierto, una conducta muy valorable. Para mi es un orgullo haber participado en este acto de retorno a las aulas y sólo me queda agradecer, valorar y felicitar a toda la comunidad escolar de la Escuela José Manso de Velasco de Copiapó. El llamado es a reforzar las medidas de autocuidado, a cuidarnos y protegernos entre todos y todas y lo más importante, estudiar y aprender con mucha energía”.

Por su parte, la directora de dicha escuela ubicada en la capital regional, Karina Varela Cortés, sostuvo que “nosotros iniciamos en el mes de junio los talleres, en el marco del plan paso a paso, y hace poquito acordamos que el primer ciclo básico viene, mientras que el segundo ciclo se mantiene virtual. El mensaje que yo puedo darles es a mantener una actitud positiva al ingreso de esta nueva etapa. La vida nos presenta muchas contingencias con tiempos complicados, pero hay que enfrentarlos con las dificultades que exige la pandemia”.    

Actualmente, de los 60 establecimientos educacionales y 19 jardines con los que trabaja el Servicio Local de Educación Pública Atacama, en las provincias de Copiapó y de Chañaral, 43 ya han aperturado, es decir han iniciado sus clases presenciales de manera gradual, voluntaria y segura, por cierto, con respeto irrestricto a las medidas de autocuidado que la autoridad sanitaria exige como aforos máximos, cumplimientos de protocolos y medidas de seguridad e higiene.

Al respecto, Carlos Pérez Estay, sostuvo que “el resto de los establecimientos pronto volverán a sus clases presenciales y desde nuestro SLEP tenemos toda la voluntad, disposición y ánimo para que esto se transforme en realidad. Nuestro llamado es a cada directivo, profesor, asistente de la educación, padres, apoderados y estudiantes a escucharnos más, a entendernos, a trabajar con mucha unidad y responsabilidad. Esta es la única fórmula para regresar a las clases presenciales y trabajar para mejorar la calidad educacional en beneficio de nuestros y nuestras estudiantes. Con colaboración y entendimiento todo es posible».

En menos de 6 días, el director ejecutivo del SLEP Atacama, Carlos Pérez Estay, recorrió diferentes establecimientos y comunas. Primero llegó al Liceo Jorge Alessandri de Tierra Amarilla. Desde allí anunció $200 millones para mantención del establecimiento y constató la presencia de alumnos y alumnas en distintas aulas. En otra jornada recorrió la Escuela Aliro Lamas de Diego de Almagro, donde además de verificar que el suministro eléctrico este funcionando, explicó a los estudiantes los objetivos del SLEP. Así también llegó a la comuna de Chañaral, particularmente al Liceo Federico Varela donde sostuvo una reunión ejecutiva con la directora Fancy Araya. Allí constató la presencia de alumnos y alumnas en el establecimiento.
