Delitos de mayor connotación social disminuyeron un 29,8 % en una semana
El jefe de la III Zona Atacama exhortó a la prevención y el autocuidado de las personas para avanzar en estas cifras y mejorar la sensación de seguridad de la ciudadanía.

El último informe del Sistema Táctico de Operación Policial (Stop) reveló que entre la semana del 29 de junio y 5 de julio los delitos de mayor connotación social disminuyeron un 29,8 %, con 50 casos menos, de acuerdo con lo que informó este martes el general Juan Pablo Caneo Farías, jefe de la III Zona Atacama.
Con satisfacción explicó que esta disminución se ve reflejada en los delitos violentos, los cuales tuvieron una reducción de un 54,4 % principalmente en robos con violencia, que marcaron -66,7 %; robos con intimidación, que registró -50,0 % y robos por sorpresa con -75,0 %.
Dentro del estudio también se observó una disminución en los delitos contra la propiedad de un-17,1 %, por lo que Caneo consideró que es “altamente positivo para nosotros como institución y por supuesto para la ciudadanía atacameña”, ya que “tiene una participación importante en estos resultados al comprometerse con medidas preventivas y de autocuidado, así como para denunciar a tiempo los hechos delictivos que les afectan”.
Dijo que la estrategia para mantener mejorar estos resultados y “ser la región más segura del país”, se debe contar con la participación “de todos los organismos involucrados en el tema de la seguridad, como también de la ciudadanía”, puesto que “la responsabilidad es compartida -nosotros hacemos prevención y ustedes se cuidan-, ésa es la mejor alianza que podemos hacer”.
De igual forma aseguró que se dispuso de servicios focalizados en lugares y horas de mayor ocurrencia de delitos violentos como aquellos cometidos contra la propiedad, así como otros vinculados al tráfico y consumo de drogas.
Por último, recordó que, durante estos meses de pandemia, se han fortalecido los patrullajes preventivos en los espacios públicos y en los lugares más sensibles para mantener una mayor presencia policial e incrementar la sensación de seguridad en los vecinos. Al mismo tiempo se fortalecieron los operativos en el sector céntrico de las comunas con mayores casos, para mejorar los niveles de seguridad de la población y evitar que sean víctimas de delitos.
