Cuba envía brigada médica a Sudáfrica para combatir la Covid-19
Un grupo de 216 profesionales de la salud cubanos partió este sábado hacia Sudáfrica para asistir en la lucha contra la Covid-19, tras una petición de ayuda del Gobierno de ese país africano a la Cuba, informó la agencia de noticias EFE.
El grupo, compuesto por 85 médicos, 20 enfermeros y 111 profesionales de la salud de diversas ramas, viaja en un vuelo especial de South African Airways, que debe arribar a Johannesburgo este domingo, convirtiéndose así Sudáfrica en el cuarto país africano al que acuden profesionales cubanos en medio de la pandemia de coronavirus.
La brigada médica incluye a especialistas de medicina general, bioestadística, biotecnología, técnicos y epidemiólogos, y forma parte del contingente internacional de emergencias Henry Reeve.
