COVID-19 en Chile: 172 fallecidos y 6.242 contagiados en la última jornada

El Ministerio de Salud confirmó ayer que en las últimas 24 horas se registraron 6.242 nuevos casos documentados de contagio por coronavirus, que elevan la cifra total a 911.469 personas desde el inicio de la pandemia de COVID-19 en Chile.
La cantidad de fallecidos por esta enfermedad durante el último día fue de 172, con lo que la cifra total de víctimas fatales por Covid-19 llegó a 21.988.
También se informó que la cantidad de casos activos es de 34.228, mientras que los recuperados son 854.827.
El balance del Minsal, además, señala que hay 2.152 pacientes en la UCI, de las cuales 1.881 están con apoyo de ventilación mecánica.
Con relación a la Red Integrada de Salud, existe un total de 193 camas críticas disponibles para el paciente que lo requiera, independiente de la región donde se encuentre.
En tanto, en la última jornada fueron notificados 70.195 exámenes PCR, con una positividad de 8,7 por ciento a nivel nacional.
