Conductor muere tras caer a barranco en la ruta a Barranquilla
El chofer de un vehículo particular, marca Kia Río, aún no identificado hasta el cierre de la presente edición, murió tras volcar y caer a un barranco de aproximadamente 30 metros de profundidad, en la comuna de Caldera.
El accidente se produjo ayer domingo, en la intersección de las Rutas 370 y 372, donde al parecer a consecuencia del exceso de velocidad, el conductor perdió el control de volante precipitándose al vacío.
Se indicó que el chofer venía del sector de Barranquilla y que se dirigía a la ciudad de Copiapó al momento del lamentable accidente de tránsito.
Hasta el sitio del suceso concurrió personal de la Unidad de Rescate del Cuerpo de Bomberos de Caldera, el SAMU que constató el fallecimiento del varón y efectivos de Carabineros que adoptaron el procedimiento de rigor para comunicar lo sucedido al fiscal de turno en el puerto.
También se hizo presente la camioneta del Servicio Médico Legal que procedió al levantamiento de cadáver para ser trasladado a Copiapó para efectos de la necropsia.
Al respecto a este hecho, el mayor Marcelo Ramírez, Comisario de la Segunda Comisaria de Carabineros de Copiapó, indicó que a raíz de la concurrencia de personal policial se constató que el vehículo “volcó hacia un barranco de 30 metros de profundidad aproximadamente, resultando fallecido el conductor del móvil, quien es mayor de edad y se encontraba al momento de la llegada solo”.
