Castillo vio desde la banca derrota de América en la primera final ante Monterrey
Con el delantero chileno Nicolás Castillo en la banca de suplentes, América sucumbió por 2-1 ante Monterrey en el partido de ida del Torneo Apertura del fútbol mexicano.
En el Estadio BBVA Bancomer, de Monterrey, el cuadro visitante se puso en ventaja luego de un autogol de Carlos Rodríguez (45′), pero la diferencia duró poco puesto que en el primer minuto de descuento el colombiano John Medina logró la paridad.
En el segundo tiempo la paridad se mantuvo y cuando todos pensaban en un empate, el argentino Rogelio Funes Mori marcó la ventaja para el elenco regiomontano.
La revancha del partido se jugará el próximo domingo a las 23:15 horas en el Estadio Azteca.
