Brasil amplía tratamiento con hidroxicloroquina para covid-19
Brasil, el país más golpeado por el coronavirus en América Latina y el tercero en el mundo a nivel de contagios, abrió este miércoles la puerta a la utilización de hidroxicloroquina en casos leves de covid-19. La prescripción del medicamento, utilizado para tratar otras enfermedades como la malaria, solo se recomendaba hasta ahora en los casos graves.
Con 18.859 muertes ligadas a la pandemia y 291.579 infectados, el Ministerio de Salud amplió su recomendación de utilizar cloroquina e hidroxicloroquina, combinadas con el antibiótico azitromicina, atendiendo un pedido del presidente Jair Bolsonaro, pese a que su eficacia divide a la comunidad científica mundial.
