Beneficiará a todo Chile: Mercado Libre y Unimarc sellan alianza para la venta online de productos de supermercado

*La cadena chilena de supermercados anunció su llegada a la plataforma a través de Unimarc.cl. Proyectan contar al término de este año con más de 1.300 productos para el día a día, como alimentos y abarrotes, que serán almacenados en el centro de almacenamiento de Mercado Libre en Colina.

A mediados del año pasado, Mercado Libre anunció el lanzamiento de una nueva categoría en su marketplace, el más visitado en nuestro país: la categoría Supermercado. Así, sus millones de usuarios podían adquirir productos de múltiples marcas para el día a día, como artículos para el hogar, para bebés, de higiene y cuidado personal, bebidas y alimentos de despensa. Actualmente, alrededor de 7.000 productos de más de 600 vendedores y más de 50 marcas de consumo masivo, se almacenan en el centro de almacenamiento de Mercado Libre en Colina, ofreciendo envíos en 48 horas a lo largo de todo el país.

La cadena chilena de supermercados Unimarc, filial de SMU, anunció una alianza estratégica con Mercado Libre a través de Unimarc.cl, convirtiéndose en el primero en Chile en sumarse a la categoría Supermercado. Esperan, al cierre de este año, ofrecer más de 1.300 productos en el marketplace, mayoritariamente alimentos y abarrotes, desde productos básicos hasta productos premium. El objetivo es ir sumando progresivamente mayor variedad de categorías, pudiendo próximamente contar también con alcoholes y bebidas.

“Nos encontramos dando inicio a esta alianza, donde semana a semana se irán incorporando nuevos productos, esperando llegar a noviembre con 1.300 productos esenciales de la canasta para nuestros clientes. También se contempla, durante el año, contar en la plataforma con una fuerte presencia de marcas exclusivas de nuestra compañía, buscando entregar calidad y buen precio a los consumidores”, estableció Javier Fernández, gerente corporativo de E-commerce de SMU.

En la gran mayoría de los casos, el usuario recibirá sus productos Unimarc sin pagar despacho, dado que el sitio ecommerce ofrece envíos gratis en compras superiores a los $16.990. Esta logística depende, principalmente, de la operación del centro de almacenamiento de Mercado Libre en Colina, el cual estiman en algunos meses alcance su capacidad completa: 15 millones de productos, convirtiéndose así en el más grande de nuestro país dedicado exclusivamente a ecommerce.

Por su parte, el gerente general de Mercado Libre para Chile, Perú y Ecuador, Alan Meyer, explicó que “estamos muy contentos con la llegada de Unimarc.cl a Mercado Libre. Esto nos permitirá seguir robusteciendo nuestra oferta, ayudando a los usuarios con el abasto de productos rutinarios. Hoy, más del 90% de nuestras órdenes de compra se entregan en un lapso de 48 horas y más de la mitad en incluso 24 horas a lo largo de todo Chile, lo que es crucial para la experiencia de Supermercado. Además, se vienen también otros grandes proyectos de colaboración con Unimarc, esperamos que sea una relación de largo aliento”.

Este es el primer hito de una alianza a largo plazo, que considera ampliar la oferta de servicios a los clientes de ambas cadenas:

“Esta alianza permite fortalecer nuestra estrategia de crecimiento omnicanal y diversificar los distintos canales que nos permiten llegar y estar más cerca de nuestros clientes y sus familias a lo largo de todo el país. Nuestra presencia con tiendas físicas a nivel nacional, la cobertura de Unimarc.cl en las 16 regiones de Chile y esta nueva alianza con Mercado Libre, vienen a robustecer nuestra propuesta digital de cara al consumidor final, a quienes buscamos hacerle la vida un poco más fácil”, finalizó Marcelo Gálvez, gerente general de SMU. 

La oferta de productos Unimarc ya está disponible en su tienda oficial en Mercado Libre, donde habrán descuentos de un 20% en productos de la marca exclusiva “Nuestra Cocina”, además de promociones en packs: shampoo, pasta de dientes, detergente, entre otros. El objetivo es facilitar una compra más económica y eficiente, ayudando al ahorro de los consumidores en los tiempos actuales.
