Atacan con cohetes a tropas estadounidenses en base militar de Irak
Una base militar iraquí que alberga a tropas estadounidenses en la provincia de Kirkuk, norte de Irak, fue blanco de un ataque con cohetes el jueves por la noche, informaron fuentes de seguridad iraquíes y estadounidenses, que no precisaron si hubo víctimas.
Se trata del primer ataque contra la base K1 desde el 27 de diciembre, cuando murió un contratista estadounidense durante un bombardeo con al menos 30 cohetes, ataque que Washington atribuyó al Kataeb Hezbolá, una milicia iraquí cercana a Irán.
Un cohete tipo Katiusha cayó en la base K1 hacia las 20:45 locales (14:45 de Chile) y los cazabombarderos estadounidenses inmediatamente decolaron y volaron a baja altitud en esta zona del norte del país.
