Amanda Cerna fue quinta y batió el récord de Chile en el Mundial de Para-Atletismo de Dubai
La atleta chilena Amanda Cerna obtuvo el quinto lugar en los 400 metros T47 en el Mundial de Para-Atletismo de Dubai y batió el récord de nuestro país.
La deportista nacional superó su propia marca, obtenida en las semifinales del certamen, con un registro de 59,25 segundos.
En la instancia anterior Cerna había logrado un tiempo de 59»54, el que pudo batir en la final de la categoría.
La ganadora de la prueba fue la sudafricana Anrune Weyers (55»79), seguida por la china Lu Li (58»61) y tercera fue la venezolana Lisbeli Vera (58»98).
Sobre este récord, la deportista dijo estar «contenta con el resultado, ya que subí tres puestos para conseguir mi mejor marca personal. Estoy feliz de haber quedado quinta, todavía queda un largo tiempo para seguir mejorando esta marca».
En los 100 metros, la deportista también tuvo su mejor marca personal este lunes, pero no le alcanzó para avanzar al ser cuarta en su heat clasificatorio 12,98 segundos.
