Agrupaciones valoran apertura de Rapa Nui a partir del 1 de agosto
*La comunidad indígena Mau Henua, que administra el Parque Nacional Rapa Nui, valoró que el Gobierno anunciara la reapertura de la isla. «Si no se produce el 1 de agosto, los rapa nui no se van a morir del covid, sino de hambre», señaló su vicepresidente. La Cámara de Comercio de Rapa Nui valoró que el Gobierno anunciara la apertura de la isla, proceso que se llevará a cabo de manera gradual desde el 1 de agosto.
El presidente del gremio, Torea Laroche, aseguró que es hora de entrar en una “nueva realidad”, siempre y cuando se materialicen todos los protocolos sanitarios.
“Esperamos que la reapertura de la isla al turismo ayude a que la gente pueda salir de sus problemas económicos”, señaló.
En ese sentido, afirmó que se tienen todas las herramientas para desarrollar una llegada de turistas de manera segura y que trabajarán para que se respeten las medidas impuestas por las autoridades.
Por su parte, Salvador Atán, vicepresidente de la comunidad indígena Mau Henua, dijo que la situación de Rapa Nui ya no da para más y que se debe reactivar el turismo lo antes posible.
“Si la reapertura no se produce el 1 de agosto, yo les aseguro que los rapa nui no se van a morir del COVID, se van a morir de hambre”, manifestó.
