El presidente estadounidense, Joe Biden, no lamenta haber llamado a su par ruso Vladimir Putin un “asesino”, según afirmó este jueves la vocera de la Casa Blanca.
“No, el presidente dio una respuesta directa a una pregunta directa”, dijo la secretaria de Prensa, Jen Psaki, al ser consultada por periodistas sobre un posible arrepentimiento de Biden.
En plena controversia entre los dos dirigentes, el presidente ruso, Vladimir Putin, propuso el jueves a su homólogo estadounidense un encuentro difundido “en directo”.
“Me gustaría proponer al presidente Biden continuar nuestra discusión, pero con la condición de que lo hagamos en directo, en línea, como se dice”, declaró Putin a la televisión rusa, añadiendo que querría hacerlo el viernes o el lunes, y que sería algo “interesante para el pueblo ruso y el pueblo estadounidense”.
El mandatario ruso dijo que la conversación tendría que llevarse a cabo “rápidamente”, el viernes o el lunes.
“Quiero ir a la taiga este fin de semana, para descansar un poco. Entonces podría ser el viernes o el lunes”, dijo Putin al margen de un acto en el estadio Lujniki de Moscú para celebrar la anexión de la península ucraniana de Crimea en 2014, un tema que también opone a los dos países.
