Acusan a Nicolás Maduro de 28 ataques a la prensa en 15 días
El secretario general del Colegio Nacional de Periodistas (CNP) de la sección de Caracas, Edgar Cárdenas, denunció que el régimen de Nicolás Maduro busca “criminalizar” el trabajo de la prensa venezolana durante la época de la pandemia y en concreto señala que se han producido 28 ataques a la prensa en la primera quincena de abril.
“Las agresiones a periodistas y el hostigamiento a los medios representan las pretensiones del Gobierno por imponer la censura y criminalizar la opinión para instaurar el silencio informativo”, expresó Cárdenas, según recoge el diario venezolano El Universal.
Con estos ya son 62 los ataques sufridos por la prensa venezolana en lo que va de año, según el organismo, que creó el Observatorio de Seguimiento de Agresiones a Periodistas y Medios del CNP Caracas para contabilizar estas agresiones.
En concreto en la primera quincena de abril hubo 7 detenciones arbitrarias, un cierre de emisoras de radio, un decomiso de equipos, 7 amenazas a periodistas y medios, un bloqueo de medios de comunicación, 4 intimidaciones, 2 eliminaciones de información y 5 impedimentos de circulación.
