A contar del 1 de febrero Pasaporte tendrá una vigencia de 10 años
De 5 a 10 años se extenderá la vigencia del pasaporte en nuestro país, esta medida fue anunciada por el ministro de Justicia y Derechos Humanos, Hernán Larraín Fernández y el director nacional del Servicio de Registro Civil e Identificación, Jorge Álvarez Vásquez.
Las autoridades precisaron que quienes soliciten su documento de viaje desde el 1 de febrero tendrán un pasaporte que durará 10 años, disposición que se pudo concretar gracias a la publicación de hoy jueves 16 de enero en el Diario Oficial del Decreto Supremo N°435 del Ministerio de Justicia y Derechos Humanos.
A nivel local, la directora regional del Servicio de Registro Civil e Identificación, Lucy Cepeda Acevedo, expresó: “Estamos muy contentos con esta medida que beneficia a cientos de personas que viajarán próximamente. Además es importante destacar que los pasaportes cuentan con las medidas de seguridad y durabilidad necesarias para esta nueva vigencia de 10 años”.
El valor del pasaporte no será modificado, por lo que se mantiene el cobro de $89.660 para aquellos de 32 páginas y de $89.740 para los de 64 páginas. El año 2019 se gestionaron más de 451 mil pasaportes en todo el país, el 59% se tramitó en la Región Metropolitana. De esa cifra, 3.821 documentos de viaje fueron solicitados en Atacama.
