Ministra del Trabajo rechaza un nuevo 10%: El «contexto es distinto» y «deben quedar fondos» para la reforma de pensiones

Jeannette Jara insistió en que el «énfasis principal» del Gobierno apunta a terminar con el sistema privado previsional, para así avanzar a la conformación de uno en el que prevalezca la seguridad social.
La ministra del Trabajo y Previsión Social, Jeannette Jara, reiteró esta mañana que la postura del Gobierno está por no apoyar un nuevo retiro del 10% de los fondos previsionales. Esto, luego que la Cámara de Diputados y Diputadas aprobara este lunes el cambio de criterio que permite que nuevos proyectos con ideas matrices similares puedan ser tramitados en el Congreso.

Con ello se cambió el dictamen de la mesa anterior de la Corporación, que en un primer momento había interpretado que la Constitución establecía que, tras haberse rechazado en comisión mixta en general en diciembre pasado, las nuevas iniciativas que buscaba un giro desde las AFP – como las impulsadas por los diputados René Alinco (Ind.) y Pamela Jiles (PH) – no podían ser debatidas sino hasta pasado un año de fecha, lo que era respaldado por la Secretaría General de la Cámara.

Sin embargo, dado que el Pleno respaldó la idea de modificar el criterio, todas las mociones que apuntan a ese fin podrán pasar a la comisión de Constitución para discutirse.

Consultada por esta determinación, la titular de la cartera de Trabajo comentó a Radio Cooperativa que «es importante señalar que nosotros hemos sido sumamente claros que el retiro, o el quinto retiro, no está dentro de nuestro programa de Gobierno, y eso ha sido transparente, comprometido además públicamente y dicho públicamente por todas las autoridades que formamos parte del Gobierno del Presidente Gabriel Boric».
