Cuatro áreas de Chuquicamata inician jornada excepcional 7×7
La gerencia de Extracción y Lixiviación, las direcciones de Protección Industrial y Emergencias y Recursos Hídricos y el Centro Integrado de Operaciones, son las áreas que iniciaron el cambio progresivo a la jornada excepcional 7×7. Este proceso es el resultado de las instancias de trabajo entre la administración y las dirigencias sindicales rol B en el marco del Plan Covid-19, el cual busca proteger la vida de las trabajadoras y trabajadores .
“Aunque es una situación temporal, después de 105 años vamos a hacer un cambio histórico, demostrando nuevamente que Chuquicamata puede hacer transformaciones sobre la base al diálogo y objetivos comunes: el resguardo de la seguridad y salud de nuestra gente y la continuidad operacional por Chile”, argumentó el gerente de Recursos Humanos de Chuquicamata, Luis Galdames.
Esta modalidad –que tendrá una duración de cuatro meses- implicará dividir al personal en cuatro grupos, en turnos A y B. Las jornadas comenzarán los miércoles y terminarán los martes. “El próximo 22 de julio ingresarán otras áreas adicionales como Concentradora, Fundición, Refinería, la GRMD y la GMSS”, explicó Galdames, agregando que las áreas pendientes se incorporarán la semana subsiguiente.
El gerente de Recursos Humanos agregó que este cambio de turno viene acompañado de medidas más estrictas a las ya aplicadas por la División, para resguardar la salud de las y los trabajadores. Una de estas consiste en que, antes del inicio de la jornada, los trabajadores y trabajadoras podrán concurrir a tomarse un test preventivo de antígeno en diversos puntos de Calama. De ese modo, también se verán favorecidas las familias y la comunidad.
EVALUACIÓN Desde la División esperan que al término de julio todas las operaciones estén sometidas al sistema 7×7, como se acordó con los sindicatos rol B, sin embargo, “luego de eso evaluaremos la condición de pandemia para volver a las guardias compactas o hacer una prórroga para seguir protegiendo la salud de todas y todos”, dijo Galdames.
