90 fallecidos y 4.177 nuevos contagios por COVID-19 registró ayer Chile
*Atacama está entre las regiones con mayor aumento de contagios con un 111% de incremento
El Ministerio de Salud informó que los contagios por coronavirus aumentaron un 36 por ciento en los últimos siete días.
A la vez detalló que las regiones con más aumentos son Atacama, con 111 por ciento; Arica, con 92 por ciento; y Los Lagos, con 68 por ciento.
El ISP, en tanto, detalló que se han registrado 18 casos de la variante británica, todos ellos trazados por la autoridad.
Respecto a las cifras diarias, en la última jornada se registraron 4.177 casos nuevos, superando nuevamente la barrera de los 4.000 contagios por día, llegando a los 24.800 casos que se encuentran en la etapa activa del virus.
Se realizaron 54.116 exámenes PCR, con una positividad nacional del 7,7 por ciento y en la Región Metropolitana es de un 4 por ciento.
Además, según las cifras reportadas por el Departamento de Estadísticas e Información de Salud (DEIS), en las últimas 24 horas se informaron 90 fallecidos, totalizando 17.294 decesos desde que se inició la pandemia en nuestro país.
Otra cifra preocupante es la cantidad de hospitalizados en unidades de cuidados intensivos, número que llegó a los 1.000, 806 de ellos con ventilación mecánica y 56 en estado crítico.
En tanto, actualmente hay 162 camas críticas disponibles.
