10 años y 1 día de presidio para imputado por homicidio ocurrido en Vallenar

Fiscal (s) Nicolás Meléndez Chacón asumió la audiencia de Juicio Oral de este caso que ocurrió en la capital de la Provincia del Huasco en el mes de enero del año 2020.

Luego de la investigación dirigida por la Fiscalía de Atacama frente a un delito de homicidio cometido en el año 2020 en la ciudad de Vallenar, el Tribunal Oral de Copiapó dio a conocer la pena que deberá cumplir el único imputado en esta causa.

La audiencia de Juicio Oral en que se conocieron detalles del crimen fue asumida por el fiscal (s) Nicolás Meléndez Chacón, quien a partir de la prueba rendida pudo acreditar que el día 26 de enero del mencionado año el acusado, Luis Juica Cortés, atacó a la víctima de este hecho alrededor de las 22:30 horas en calle Rios del Huasco de la capital provincial, valiéndose de un arma blanca que portaba y con la que propinó una estocada al afectado quien debió recibir atención de urgencia que lo mantuvieron en estado de extrema gravedad hasta el día posterior al ataque, ocasión en que finalmente falleció alrededor de las 07:30 horas.

“En la audiencia de Juicio Oral la Fiscalía presentó cada uno de los medios de prueba reunidos en la etapa investigativa de este caso, la que consistió en testimonios de testigos y evidencia científica, además de los informes policiales que fueron solicitados por la Fiscalía a personal de la PDI”, indicó el fiscal.

Con el contenido de esa carpeta investigativa la Fiscalía acreditó el delito y la participación del acusado, quien fue declarado culpable del delito de homicidio simple en grado de consumado, frente a lo cual el mencionado Tribunal determinó aplicar la pena de 10 años y un día años de cárcel. Sanción que deberá cumplida de manera efectiva en la cárcel de esta ciudad
