Unimarc lanza su plataforma de ventas online en la Región de Atacama

La cadena sigue robusteciendo su plataforma de e-commerce a través de la habilitación de nuevas tiendas para operar con Unimarc.cl y la App Unimarc, así como con los principales Last Milers en Chile.

Unimarc continúa el plan de expansión de sus canales de e-commerce, sumando nuevas tiendas para la venta online, con el objetivo entregar un mejor servicio a sus clientes. En la Región de Atacama, la cadena ya tiene disponible los despachos en la comuna de Copiapó y próximamente lo hará en Tierra Amarilla.

Hasta la fecha, la plataforma propia de la supermercadista, Unimarc.cl y App Unimarc, operaba en veintitrés locales en las regiones de Antofagasta, Coquimbo, Valparaíso, Metropolitana, Biobío, Araucanía, Los Lagos y Los Ríos. Además de Atacama, durante febrero se sumarán también dos nuevas tiendas en O’Higgins, cobertura que seguirá creciendo durante el primer semestre del año.

Javier Fernández, gerente corporativo de e-commerce SMU -matriz de Unimarc- señaló que “la ampliación de la cobertura de nuestra plataforma de e-commerce a todas las regiones del país es parte de nuestra estrategia de crecimiento omnicanal y está alineada con el propósito de facilitarle la vida a nuestros clientes, entregando la opción de realizar compras de manera presencial o digital desde sus lugares de residencia o descanso“.

Como parte de dicha estrategia y con el objetivo de potenciar la operación online en regiones, SMU también ha concretado alianzas con empresas de última milla, como Rappi, Cornershop y Pedidos Ya, en 143 locales del país, considerando los formatos de Unimarc, OK Market y Mayorista 10. 

Todos estos proyectos de e-commerce significaron una inversión de $2.200 millones durante 2021 y se proyecta que en 2022 se alcanzarán $5.700 millones, lo que incluye la puesta en marcha del esperado Micro-fulfillment Center (MFC).

Por su parte, el gerente general de SMU, Marcelo Gálvez, estableció que “para el 2022 anunciamos un plan de inversión que alcanza los $60 mil millones, los cuales estarán destinados principalmente al crecimiento omnicanal, con la apertura de nuevas tiendas, remodelaciones, el e-commerce, y proyectos de eficiencia, tecnología y digitalización. De ese monto, vamos a invertir más de $20 mil millones en proyectos relacionados con tecnología y digitalización, y más del 50% del total de nuestras inversiones se destinarán al crecimiento omnicanal.”
