UDA firma acuerdo con una de las empresas más grandes de proveedores de servicios de TI a nivel mundial
Con la finalidad de fortalecer e incorporar proyectos de I+D aplicados y generar una red de trabajo colaborativo, la Rectora (S) de la Universidad de Atacama, Alicia Campos Cisternas y la compañía multinacional NTT DATA, firmaron un acuerdo en el que no solo se pretende desarrollar en conjunto un directorio de proyectos de I+D+i (Investigación, desarrollo e Innovación), sino que estos puedan derivar en procesos de transferencia tecnológica, con foco en el área de minería, medio ambiente y energía.
Con respecto a este importante acuerdo la Rectora (S) de la Universidad de Atacama, Alicia Campos Cisternas, indicó que “para la universidad, la comunidad educativa y académica es un paso importantísimo tener un convenio con esta reconocida empresa y representa un avance hacia la innovación, la investigación y el desarrollo tecnológico que permitirá a nuestros estudiantes realizar su práctica y buscar nuevos talentos. Los productos que pueden emerger de este acuerdo bidireccional pueden ir en directo beneficio de nuestra región, tratando de sacarle mayor provecho a nuestras riquezas, nuestra región particularmente es bondadosa en su medio ambiente, en su minería y tecnología, y eso es una estupenda vitrina para que estas empresas puedan y quieran trabajar con nosotros en colaboración.
El alcance del convenio abarca el desarrollo de prácticas profesionales para los estudiantes de la Facultad de Ingeniería de la UDA en NTT DATA y el desarrollo de charlas, seminarios, ferias tecnológicas y la participación en los programas de mentoría. Asimismo, se podrá participar de manera conjunta en las postulaciones de proyectos para apalancar fondos públicos y/o privados, entre otros beneficios.
Por su parte, la representante legal de NTT DATA, Inés Eusébio, celebró este convenio de cooperación y aseguró que “para nosotros es algo crítico poder dar respuesta a aquello que es nuestro propósito, nuestro compromiso como compañía para con la sociedad para nuestros equipos, para nuestros clientes e incluso para talentos jóvenes que están proyectando su vida profesional. es un espacio que vamos a crear en conjunto para garantizar y para crear condiciones para que estos jóvenes no teman a arriesgar, a representar sus ideas y desafiar y hacer más, mejor y diferente a nivel de los compromisos que tenemos con nuestros equipos, con nuestros clientes y con la Universidad de Atacama”.
El convenio tendrá una vigencia de dos años, tiempo en el cual, se trabajará para desarrollar proyectos I+D que puedan generar alto impacto en las líneas de negocio estratégicas de NTT DATA. Asimismo, en este periodo, se buscará la creación de un centro nacional de investigación de prestigio, ubicado particularmente en la Región de Atacama.
Finalmente, el Decano de la Facultad de Ingeniería, Dr Dante Carrizo, destacó este convenio y afirmó que: “Una de las principales líneas de acción de nuestro plan estratégico de la facultad FIUDA 2030, es comprometernos con aliados de centros, universidades y empresas para poder levantar nuestras debilidades en algunos aspectos orientados a la investigación aplicada, pero también para poder fortalecer la musculatura de investigación y enfrentar los desafíos de la industria regional y nacional y por lo tanto poder dar respuesta a sus problemáticas”.
