Tomás Barrios eliminado del Challenger de Santiago
El chileno Tomás Barrios (145° de la ATP) quedó eliminado este martes en la primera ronda del Challenger 80 de Santiago, que se disputa sobre la arcilla del Club Manquehue.
La cuarta raqueta nacional y octavo sembrado del certamen capitalino, no pudo en su estreno ante el neerlandés Jesper De Jong(189°), cayendo por parciales de 6-1 y 7-6.
En el primer set, Barrios se vio completamente superado por el europeo, que quebró el servicio del chileno en dos oportunidades para llevarse el parcial cómodamente.
En el segundo capítulo, el chillanejo equiparó las acciones y llevó el desenlace al tie break, en donde el neerlandés fue más contundente y se impuso por un claro 7-0.
Así, Barrios se despide del torneo capitalino, en donde también ayer debutaban los nacionales Gonzalo Lama, Diego Fernández, Nicolás Jarry y Alejandro Tabilo.
